THE Wye Clinic
The Wye Clinic are a private medical clinic and centre of excellence in the heart of Hereford offering a combination of outstanding individual clinicians, exemplary team-work and top-class facilities. As well as key services, such as The Hereford Menopause Clinic, cosmetic and plastic surgery, medical aesthetics, hand surgery and dermatology, The Wye Clinic is also home to Hereford Vision Surgical Group which is a pioneering eye surgery regional centre. Between them Hereford Vision’s team of expert eye consultants have carried out tens of thousands of successful cataract, lens replacement and other eye procedures, with excellent results.
The Issue?
Operations Director Rachael Lloyd got in touch following a recommendation by their IT provider. The Wye Clinic were in the process of moving into their new premises at the stunning listed nineteenth-century Moorfield House on Edgar Street. As part of their renovation plans the group wanted to install a new state of the art telecoms solution and allow a seamless transfer from their existing telecoms set-up in their old building.
The Response
A couple of the Redline team met Rachael Lloyd at the new premises to complete a full site survey to help advise on the current cabling within the premises and what would be required moving forward as part of the renovation. This was also an excellent opportunity to speak to Rachael about the group’s requirements moving forward. It quickly became apparent about the importance of them having a stable, reliable, high speed broadband solution.
The Solution
We arranged the installation of a super-fast Fibre to the Premises broadband connection which would give the new medical centre 100mbps upload and download speeds in order to ensure they have plenty of bandwidth to support their needs both now and in the future. With connectivity being so vital we also ensured they have a 4G mobile broadband failover solution in place should a fault ever occur on the main fibre connection.
With this in place it then allowed us to install a new state of the art VoIP phone system with HD voice and touch screen handsets with video calling facilities. Mobile & PC applications were also included to give the group flexibility and allow full remote working capability. As part of the process we also ensured that we ported all their existing telephone numbers onto the system allowing a seamless switch to the new premises and no downtime as part of the process!
